„We want to know, what our customers are cooking on their new Thermomix“, the Business said. So, using Microservices and Cloud, obviously, we build the UsageBox.

UsageBox is a smart ear inside over a million devices, listening to what our customers are doing and how the device is behaving –think: personalized recipe recommendations and predictive maintenance. That sounded like fun. Then reality hit and who would have guessed: embedded software is a whole different pair of shoes compared to self-contained microservices. And how to actually keep all those components in sync? And who said GDPR again? And what is actually in for our customers?
